1st April 2025 Below are the points covered in this khutbah:  Ramaḍān is a month where acts of worship are established purely for the sake of Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى).  Ramaḍān is the month when the Qur’ān was revealed.  Allāh wants ease for you. He does not want hardship for you.  Allāh wants you to make takbīr of Him – to deem Allāh greater than everything else.  ʿEīd is intended to purify and strengthen you and your bond with Allāh.  We make takbīr of Allāh (سبحانه وتعالى) in gratitude for guiding us.  Takbīr is said on the tongue but it resides in the heart.  The Muslim should focus and concentrate on Allāh and not what people think.  Fasting is done for Allāh because only Allāh knows if you are truly fasting.  There is no deity besides Allāh and He has given us numerous blessings.  Do not be a servant of Allāh in the month of Ramaḍān only.  Evil is the one who only knows his Lord in the month of Ramaḍān.  When tried with afflictions, your first call should be to Allāh.  Focus on Allāh, the One who will judge you on Yawmul Qiyāmah.  On the 1st of Shawwal, the Shayāṭīn are returned and unrestricted. We need the aid of Allāh to repel them from us.  We need the aid of Allāh to develop our soul.  ʿAlī Ibn Abī Tālib (رضى الله عنه) said he knows that his soul inclines to blameworthy traits and that he is not guided except when he disobeys his soul.  ʿAli also said there are some things that are only manifest by the look in the eyes, i.e, the evil eye and an evil intention.  True love can also be seen when what is in the heart is manifest through a ‘twinkle’ in the eye.  What is in the heart also becomes manifest through the tone of one’s voice.  Do not focus on what people say about you. Focus on Allāh, the One who truly knows you.  Ibn Al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) said a person should recognise that his forelock , as well everyone else’s, is in the Hands of Allāh.  The Muslim should have no need or reliance on the servants of Allāh.  Did this Ramaḍān make us closer or more distant to Allāh?  ʿAlī (رضى الله عنه) said that taqwá is fear of Al-Jalīl, acting upon the Revelation, being satisfied with little and preparing for the day of our Journey. 24:58

13.06.2024 [00:07] Question 1: I teach at a preschool. Is it permissible to make a small model of the Kaba as a craft activity to teach the children about Hajj. This is just to bring awareness as many are non- Muslims. There would not be any role-playing of tawaf etc. [1:15] Question 2: Shaykhana, here in our non-Muslim country we have a very good relationship with the government and the Chief Minister of our town. Is it permissible to invite him to our Eid khutbah and celebrations at the masjid? Also, would it be allowed for him to address the Muslims outside the masjid to congratulate them on this festive day or should we invite him just to witness and partake in the celebration without speaking. [2:32] Question 3: Our Masjid in on 20,000 Sq Ft of land. The masjid is on one half of the land and there is huge, empty field on the other half. Should we perform the Eid Salah in that open land or should we go to an open field on the outskirts of the town? [3:37] Question 4: Is it allowed to have free games on the day of Eid in which prizes are given for those who win. [6:53] Question 5: Is it allowed to decorate outside the masjid compound for Eid day? This would be the field and tents outside NOT the masjid structure itself. [11:01] Question 6: When we are praying eid prayer, do we raise hands on all those times the Imam says "Allahu Akbar" or do we raise them only once at the beginning of the prayer. [11:42] Question 7: A sister lives in a western country and found the price of udhiya was too expensive. Her father and family members are going to sacrifice in a different country where the udhiya is cheaper. Can she contribute financially to her father's udhiya even though she is in a different country? [13:40] Question 8: We live near a small salafi masjid and all praise is for Allāh. The community is too small to pray Eid salah in the salafi masjid so we pray at the closest regular masjid. What advice can you give for us to build this growing community, so there can be more of a jama'ah on the day of the Eid and outside Eid. [16:32] Question 9: If a cow is sacrificed by a single person, how should the meat be distributed? [18:13] Question 10: Concerning the face veil on hajj. I've seen the sisters wear abayas with the extra piece sewn or pinned to the top of the abaya that drapes over the face. When I do this, I can barely see in front of me and I am afraid of falling. Can I pull the sides of my abaya over my face with my eyes exposed? or must the face covering only drop over my face from the head. [19:26] Question 11: I'm delayed in getting a hajj package but I reside in Saudi Arabia. I wish to do hajj tamattu'. If I receive a package on the 7th of Dhul Hijjah can I still do at tamattu or what do you advise? [22:41] Question 12: Dear Shaykh. After paying for my hajj package, I was informed that it don't include Udhhiyyah. I need to pay for this separately but I don't have the complete cost. What can I do? [24:32] Question 13: An older woman became muslim. She is unmarried with no children and no Muslim relatives. She wishes to perform Hajj, but has no mahram. Is she excuse from the condition of having a mahram inorder to perform Hajj? [26:11] Question 14: A womans 12 year old son will accompany her on hajj. He has reached the age of puberty but is still very immature and playful. Would his hajj suffice him? Or would he need to repeat to fulfil this pillar? 27:25

[01:06] Atheists say, if there is a God, why does He allow this to happen?’ [01:32] Feeling pain over what is happening in Palestine is a sign of faith. [02:02] The prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, ‘the believers are like one body. [02:45] Everything that Allāh (سبحانه و تعالى) decrees is according to His wisdom [03:02] The patience and determination of the Palestinian people [0320] The prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, ‘amazing is the case of the believer, [03:47] Muslims believe in this life, the life of the grave and the life of the hereafter. [03:56] Those who die in these conditions will die as martyrs in shā’ Allāh. [04:36] The children of the Muslims and non-Muslims will go to Paradise. [05:03] Allāh tests us with things to distinguish the good from the evil. [11:56] How September 11th and the war in Afghanistan and Iraq lead a lot of non-Muslims to turn to Islām [12:12] Non-Muslims have started reading the Qur’ān because they see the resilience of the Palestinian children in the face of all this adversity. [13:32] The Muslims stand for justice whether it is for us or against us. [13:51] We condemn the killing of women and children everywhere, including Palestine and Israel or anywhere else in the world. [14:01] We hold the world accountable to also stand for justice. Will the world condemn the killing of the innocent women and children in Palestine? [14:18] Is the blood of the children of Palestine cheaper than the blood of the children of Israel? [14:34] The champions in human rights cannot even call for a ceasefire. Politicians are losing their posts as a result of calling for a ceasefire in Palestine. [15:18] Fitnah exposes people’s true colors. [16:04] Some people say that the people of Palestine are not innocent because they elected Hamas. Isis claimed that every western civilian is a target because they elected western governments. [17:05] Allāh distinguishes the good people from the bad people. The fiṭrah. 2. Sound Reasoning 3. Psychological Arguments. [06:56] Any person with a fiṭrah - a natural inclination, - will incline towards Islām. [08:00] The five necessities that Islām came to preserve show that the Qur’ān was revealed by Allāh (سبحانه و تعالى). [08:44] There is a huge war against human nature! [09:50] Islām warns against blind following, [10:06] “Say bring your proofs if you are truthful.” [Sūrah Al-Baqarah 2:111] [10:58] Islām came to free mankind from the slavery of desires and the slavery of the devil. [23:53] Abū Sufyān traveled to Makkah to meet the prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) after the contract of Hudaybiyyah was broken. [27:08] Ḥāṭib Ibn Abī Baltaʿah (رضى الله عنه) sent a letter to Quraysh to warn and inform them that Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was planning an attack. [31:06] Abū Sufyān (رضى الله عنه) embraced Islām before the Conquest of Makkah. [31:24] Al-ʿAbbās (رضى الله عنه) embraced Islām. [35:25] Allāh (سبحانه و تعالى) granted the believers victory in the Conquest of Makkah [37:46] The Year of the Delegations. [38:09] Tribes would send a few members of the tribe to meet Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and they would embrace Islām on behalf of the whole tribe. [38:54] The rulings pertaining to the Ṣalāh of the traveler were revealed [40:00] The Battle of Ḥunayn. [41:22] The incident of Dhāt Anwāt, [44:49] The Muslims conquered the enemy and won the Battle of Ḥunayn. [46:03] The prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) took a hand full of sand and threw it at the enemies. [47:04] The Battle of Ṭā’if. [51:39]The son of Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) Ibrāhīm was born. [52:32] The Ḥajj of the companions (رضى الله عنهم). [53:13] Zaynab (رضى الله عنها) the daughter of the messenger passed away. [53:36] Allāh revealed Sūrah Al-Naṣr. [55:24] 5 tribes entered Islām. [1:02:35] On the way to the Battle of Tabūk, the Muslims passed by Al-Ḥijr – the place where Allāh destroyed the people of ʿĀd and Thamūd. [1:11:56] King Najāshī passed away as a Muslim. [1:12:37] Allāh commanded Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) to burn Masjid Dhirār that was built by the hypocrites. [1:13:39] ʿAbdullāh Ibn ʿUbay Ibn Salūl the leader of the hypocrites passed away. [1:13:58] The establishment of Ḥajj that was led by Abū Bakr Aṣ-Ṣidīq (رضى الله عنه) [1:14:07] Umm Kulthūm The daughter of the prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) passed away. [1:14:37] Around 19 delegations embraced Islām. [1:15:00] The 10th Year After The Hijrah: 4 Sarāyah took place. [1:15:07] Another 17 delegations approached the messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) [1:15:20] Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) made Iʿtikāf in the Masjid in the month of Ramaḍān. [1:17:38] The messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) made Ḥajj in the month of Dhū Al-Ḥijjah. [1:19:08] Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) Farewell Sermon during Ḥajj. [1:19:19] Allāh revealed the āyāt that He (عز و جل) had completed the religion of Islām. [1:19:48] The first appearance of the false prophets with Musaylam Al-Kaththāb and others. [1:20:22] The people of Yemen embraced Islām. [1:20:58] Bathān, the leader of Yemen embraced Islām. [1:21:35] The son of Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) Ibrāhīm passed away when he was 1 ½ years old. [1:23:14] Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) sent Muʿāth Ibn Jabal and Abū Mūsá Al-Ashʿarī (رضى الله عنهما) to Yemen. [1:24:30] The 11th Year After The Hijrah: The prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) sent an army that was to be lead by Usāmah Bin Zayd (رضى الله عنه) to the people of Shām. [1:25:39] The sickness of the messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) started in the month of Ṣafar. [1:28:29] Muḥammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) commanded that Abū Bakr Aṣ-Ṣidīq (رضى الله عنه) should establish and lead the prayer. [Lesson 9] - From 7th to 11th Year AH: The Life of The Prophet in Years by Shaykh Abu Hakeem Bilal

06.09.2022 - The 5th and 6th Year After Hijrah [02:04] The 5th Year After the Hijrah: The Battle of Banū Muṣṭaliq. [02:20] It took place in response to the prophet (صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم) learning that the tribe of Banū Muṣṭaliq wanted to attack the messenger (صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم). [05:33] The Muslims overpowered Banū Muṣṭaliq and Banū Muṣṭaliq surrendered. [07:19] Juwayriyah Bint Al-Ḥārith (رضي اللّٰه عنها) the wife of the Prophet (صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم) was one of the captives of the Battle of Banū Muṣṭaliq. [11:34] The prophet (صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم) offered to buy Juwayriyah, free her and marry her, and she agreed. [14:25] The 5th Year After the Hijrah: The story of Al-Ifk. The slander of ʿĀ'ishah (رضي اللّٰه عنها) and the companion Ṣafwān bin Al-Muʿaṭṭal and the Caravan. [15:36] The lie that was forged about ʿĀ'ishah (رضي اللّٰه عنها) was created by the munāfiqūn. [18:39] Allāh (عز و جل) revealed a number of verses concerning the affair in Sūrah Al-Nūr. [23:31] The 5th Year After the Hijrah. The Battle of Al-Aḥzāb (Al-Khandaq) occurred in the month of Shawwāl. [25:24] Quraysh established a conglomerate of tribes, including Yahūd so that the Muslims would not be able to overpower them together. [27:01] The prophet heard that the Yahūd planned to betray the pact they made with the Muslims previously. [30:52] The munāfiqūn were ready to attack the Muslims and had already discussed this with Quraysh. [36:38] Salmān Al-Fārisī (رضى الله عنه) suggested the Muslims dig a trench around Madīnah like the Persians to protect them from their enemies. [38:22] A miracle of the messenger of Allāh (صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم), he broke a stone that the companions struggled to break. [40:28] Allāh (سبحانه وتعالىٰ) granted them victory without a fight. [41:02] Allāh (عز و جل) answered the supplication of the prophet (صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم) and punished the tribe of Quraysh with a severe fierce wind. [43:22] Allāh destroyed the enemies of the Muslims without even fighting. [43:49] The 5th Year After the Hijrah. The Event Of Banū Qurayẓah. [44:02] Jibrīl (عليه السلام) visited Muḥammad (صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم) [45:20] The prophet (صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم) and the ṣaḥābah had aid and support during the Battles from the best of the Malā’ikah. [45:35] The prophet (صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم) commanded his companions to go to Banū Qurayẓah who had clearly broken their trust after the Battle of Al-Aḥzāb. [46:09] The companions (رضى الله عنهم) were ordered not to Pray ṣalāt Al-Aṣr except in Banū Qurayẓah. [48:24] Banū Qurayẓah was conquered without any fight. [49:06] The decision about what should be done with the male captives of war was given to Saʿd Ibn Muʿādh (رضي اللّٰه عنه). [49:55] Saʿd Ibn Muʿādh (رضي اللّٰه عنه) gave the verdict that the captives should be saved but that every male combatant should be killed. [50:01] The Prophet (صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم) said, ‘Indeed you have judged with the judgement of Allāh and His messenger.’ [50:27] One of the slave girls of the Prophet (صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم) named Rayḥānah was from the Captives of Banū Qurayẓah. [50:40] The 6th Year After Hijrah. [51:26] The 6th Year After Hijrah: The Legislation Of Ṣalāt Al-Istisqā’ [51:51] The prophet (صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم) supplicated with his palms facing downwards. [52:22] This indicated a change in condition from drought and famine to bountiful rainfall. [52:45] The 6th Year After Hijrah: The Ṣulḥ Of Ḥudaybiyah. [53:00] The Prophet Muhammad (صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم) saw in a dream that he and his companions were making ʿUmrah. [55:02] Quraysh did not permit the ṣaḥābah to enter Makkah. [55:40] The Pact of Ḥudaybiyah was a pact of khayr and ceasefire between the Muslims and the kuffār of Quraysh. [57:18] ʿAlī Ibn Abī Ṭālib wrote (بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ). The Quraysh said they do not know who ‘Ar-Raḥmān Ar-Raḥīm’ is. [58:38] This led to a ceasefire for 10 years and not waging war against each other. [59:02] Many tribes embraced Islām. [59:42] Allāh revealed āyāt in Sūrah Al-Fatḥ- The Victory. [1:00:59] Advice of Umm Salamah (رضي اللّٰه عنها), the wife of the prophet (صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم) regarding slaughtering and shaving of his Head. [1:03:04] The prophet Muḥammad (صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم) took a pledge of allegiance from 1200 Companions called Bayʿat Al-Riḍwān- The Pledge of Good Pleasure). 05.09.2022 - From The 2nd Year To The 4th Year After Hijrah [00:50] The 3 Battles Of Badr [01:19] 2 AH: (الْأُوْلَى الْبَدْر غَزْوَةُ ) The First Battle Of Badr. [01:50] Karaz Ibn Jābir, a Mushrik planned to attack and usurp the camels of the Muslims in Madīnah [02:23] Information was given to Muḥammad ﷺ that Karaz Ibn Jābir and the camels were in Badr. [03:27] (الْكُبْرَى الْبَدْر غَزْوَةُ) The Main Battle of Badr [03:40] (الْآخِرَة الْبَدْر غَزْوَةُ) The Third Battle Of Badr. This occurred after the Battle Of Uḥud. [04:02] Abū Sufyān, who was a Mushrik at that time, said they had an appointment in the same place next year. [05:51] 2 AH: (الْكُبْرَى الْبَدْر غَزْوَةُ) The Main Battle of Badr [06:05] The prophet ﷺ heard of the caravans that carried great wealth. [07:17] The kuffār of Quraysh set out with about 900-1000 warriors. [09:13] The believers (Muslims) had only 313 warriors. [09:21] They only had 70 camels and 2 horses. [10:49] The day before the battle Muḥammad ﷺ began to say ‘so and so, the son of so and so will die here tomorrow.’ [11:24] ʿAbdullāh Ibn Masʿūd said, ‘by Allāh not one of those bodies died except in the place that the prophet ﷺ mentioned they would die.’ [11:38] Allāh Sent The Angels To Help The Muslims. [11:40] When the battle ensued, Allāh sent a battalion of Malā’ikah [13:07] Allāh sent the believers a tremendous victory during this battle. [13:31] Many of the notables of Quraysh died and were thrown into a well during the battle of Badr. [15:00] Quraysh vowed to avenge what had taken place during the Battle of Badr the following year. [15:05] 3 AH: The Battle of Uḥud [15:11] The following year Abū Sufyān gathered an army of around 3000 warriors. [16:57] The prophet ﷺ placed a number of archers on a small mountain called Jabal Al-Rumāh. [17:50] The prophet ﷺ commanded the archers not to come down from the mountain regardless of what occurs. [23:07] 3 AH: Waḥshī Ibn Ḥarb killed Hamzah Ibn ʿAbdul Muṭṭalib during the Battle of Uḥud. [23:43] The prophet ﷺ was struck in his helmet with a sword [23:56] Some of the chain-mail from his helmet pierced his cheek. [25:24] 10 companions stood in front of the messenger ﷺ to protect him and each of these 10 companions were killed. [27:07] Shayṭān called out saying, ‘indeed Muḥammad has been killed.’ [28:35] Anas Ibn An-Naḍr said to Saʿd Ibn Muʿādh, ‘Indeed I find the frangrance of Jannah in the direction of Uḥud,’ [29:12] and fought fiercly until he was struck with over 70 wounds before he died. [31:52] ʿAbdullāh Ibn Ubay Ibn Salūl, the leader of the munāfiqūn spoke to a group of the army and took around 300 wariors with him that left the battlefield. [35:53] Abū Sufyān and the Quraysh set an appointment for the following year in Badr, [36:31] But they did not turn up for the battle. [37:02] Jibrīl ﷺ commanded the Muslims to go to a place called Ḥamrā’ Al-Asad to prepare for another battle, although it did not ensue. [41:08] 3 AH: Muḥammad ﷺ married Ḥafṣah bint ʿUmār Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb after the Battle of Uḥud. [45:29] 4 AH: A number of Sarāyah and raiding missions took place. [45:55] 4 AH. The Raiding Party of Ar-Rajīʿ [46:09] 2 tribes betrayed the messenger ﷺ [46:30] These 2 tribes asked Muḥammad ﷺ to send some individuals to teach them. [47:04] Muḥammad ﷺ sent some companions to these tribes and they were betrayed and ultimately killed. [48:02] 4 AH. Banū Naḍīr (A Jewish tribe in Madīnah), broke the pact that they made with the messenger of Allāh ﷺ [49:10] The pact ensured that Banū Naḍīr would be protected, but that they would have to participate in protecting Madīnah If the need to do so arose. [50:13] The prophet ﷺ sent a riding party to Banū Naḍīr and they were encompassed for a number of days. [50:28] 4 AH: Muḥammad ﷺ expelled Banū Naḍīr from Madīnah after they broke their trust. [50:36] Banū Naḍīr then took up residence in the area of Khaybar. [51:07] 4 AH: The death of ʿAbdullāh Ibn ʿUthmān from the daughter of the prophet ﷺ, Ruqayyah. [51:32] 4 AH: The last Battle of Badr. [52:29] The 3rd Battle of Badr was effectively nullified. [52:43] 4 AH. The death of the ṣaḥābah Abī Salamah in the month of Jumād Al-Ūlá. [2:58] The 25th of December was not the birth date of ʿĪsá Ibn Maryum - Jesus (ʿĪsá) was born closer to harvest time! [3:46] The 25th of December - well-known pagan festivity known as Saturnalia. [4:02] It was coupled with another festivity called Juvenilia. [4:08] These festivities coincided with Winter Solstice and the birth of the New Sun. [5:15] The pagans from the Roman era and the Persians used to worship the Sun and celebrate the birth of the New Sun. [6:06] Lawless Practices During Saturnalia and Juvenalia: Debauchery, Drunkenness, Relations with children! (Juvenalia), Lawlessness for 8 days [6:40] The Roman Christians who were trying to evangelize the pagans knew it was not possible to abolish Saturnalia and Juvenalia. [7:05] Therefore instead they opted to transfer them to the celebration of the birth of Jesus. [7:20] Those who had knowledge among the Christians knew that Jesus was not born during that period. Trees were decorated and worshiped by the pagans - this returns to the belief in the god of fertility - Ishtar. [8:48] 2. Kissing and other acts under the mistletoe tree – its berries were white and resembled semen. [9:30] Celebrating Christmas Means: [9:37] 1. You are celebrating Allāh (سبحانه و تعالى) being born! [9:47] 2. You are celebrating a part of Allāh being born! [9:57] 3. You are partaking in ancient pagan practices and celebrations! [10:35] Ruling on the Christmas Greeting: [10:52] Shaykh ʿUthaymīn (رحمه الله) quotes from Ibn Al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) from a book called ‘Aḥkām Ahl Adh-Dhimmah,’: [11:20] “As far as the affair of the tahni’ah (‘greetings’), then it is from the manifestations of kufr and it is ḥarām by consensus of the scholars.” [12:15] This involves anything related to it and prepared for it - ḥarām to participate in it or even appear to accept it. [12:30] Regarding Christmas Dishes: The dish that is prepared for the purpose of commemorating Christmas should not be consumed, nor accepted, nor participated in nor accepted as gifts from your neighbors. [12:55] This should be used as a door opened for Da’wah – with wisdom reject offer but explain why. [13:30] Even the Bible has dispraised many of these practices. E.g. the decorating of the tree. [14:32] These verses are found in Jeremiah10; 1-5: “Hear the word that the LORD speaks to you, O house of Israel. Thus says the LORD: “Do not learn the way of the Gentiles (non-Jews and pagans), do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven because the Gentiles are dismayed at them, for the customs of the peoples are futile. We know that the society, especially in the west, promotes the concept of ‘individualism’ which is a very egocentric kind of behavior, self centrism – a self centered concept that revolves around ‘me, me, me, it is all about me.’ This gets to the point that we find it becomes very selfish and it is promoted a lot amongst the youth. [18:13] Al-Aws and Al-Khazraj were 2 tribes from Madīnah that had been at war with each other for years. [20:03] Muḥammad ﷺ gave daʿwah to the tribes of Aws and Khazraj and they responded to him very well. [20:18] 6 men from these tribes responded to Muḥammad ﷺ virtually immediately. [21:14] The Jewish tribes in Madīnah had informed Al-Aws and Al-Khazraj that Allāh would soon send a messenger. [21:44] When Muḥammad ﷺ told them he was a prophet the men from Al-Aws and Al-Khazraj said they will not let the Jews beat them to Muḥammad ﷺ [22:14] The 11th year after Prophthood: Al-Aws and Al-Khazraj Returned to Madīnah. [22:22] Al-Aws and Al-Khazraj returned to Madīnah and gave daʿwah to their tribesmen [23:15] The 12th Year After Prophethood. Al-Isrá Wa Al-Miʿrāj The Night Journey. [23:24] Allāh took Muḥammad ﷺ from Makkah to Jerusalem and from Jerusalem through the 7 heavens. [24:35] Muḥammad ﷺ rode an animal called Al Barrāq [26:44] When Muḥammad ﷺ arrived in Jerusalem Jibrīl tied up the Barrāq and Muḥammad ﷺ led the prophets and messengers in prayer. [27:09] The Barrāq took them by land from Makkah to Jerusalem. [27:24] From Masjid Al-Aqṣá, Jibrīl took Muḥammad ﷺ by his hand and took him up to the heavens. [27:35] They reached each Heaven and Muḥammad ﷺ met some of the prophets [33:40] Muḥammad ﷺ saw Ibrāhīm leaning on the Bayt Al Maʿmūr – a house above the Kaʿbah in the 7th heaven. [35:26] Muḥammad ﷺ passed the 7th heaven and reached Sidrat Al-Muntahá –The Lote Tree Of The Boundary. [36:32] Muḥammad ﷺ was granted permission to go past the Lote Tree of the Boundary! [36:58] Allāh granted Muḥammad ﷺ the ṣalawāt and revealed to him the last two āyah of Sūrah Al-Baqarah. [37:03] Allāh spoke to Muḥammad ﷺ directly! [37:28] The second occasion when Allāh allowed the prophet ﷺ to see the Jibrīl in his original form. [39:26] Mūsá told Muḥammad ﷺ to return to his Lord and ask Him to lighten the prayer. [41:09] Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ returned back to Makkah and informed the believers & the non believers about His Night Journey. [41:20] The non believers ridiculed the messenger Muḥammad ﷺ about the incident of the Night Journey [42:39] Abū Bakr Aṣ-Ṣidīq accepted and believed in the messenger Muḥammad’s ﷺ Night Journey. [44:05] Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ named Abū Bakr - Aṣ-Ṣidīq. [45:40] Allāh made Masjid Al-Aqṣá appear before the prophet ﷺ and he began to describe it in detail. [47:23] In the 12th year of Prophethood during the Ḥajj The same six men who accepted Islām before, came back twice in number (12 notable men from Madīnah). [47:52] These men from Madīnah pledged allegiance to Muḥammad ﷺ [47:20] The 1st Pledge Of Al-ʿAqabah. [48:57] This pledge was known as The first pledge of ʿAqabah. [49:18] The Story Of Muṣʿab Ibn ‘Umayr And The Daʿwah In Madīnah [49:19] The 12th Year of Prophethood. Muḥammad ﷺ sent those 12 men back to Madīnah along with Muṣʿab Ibn ‘Umayr [50:16] Muṣʿab Ibn ‘Umayr’s parents made him choose between Muḥammad ﷺ (Islām) or them. [50:31] Muṣʿab Ibn ‘Umayr chose Muḥammad ﷺ and went from being one of the wealthiest youth in Makkah to one of the poorest because he chose Islām. [51:06] Muṣʿab Ibn ‘Umayr was majorly responsible for the spread of the Daʿwah in Madīnah. [51:20] Ibn Maktum the mu’athin of the prophet, went to Madīnah along with Muṣʿab Ibn ‘Umayr to spread the Daʿwah. 2.09.2022 - [Lesson 4] - Years 5 to 10 After Prophethood [11:58] The muhājirūn that made the first migration to Abyssinia came back to Makkah after hearing the rumor that the kuffār of Quraysh had become Muslim. [12:20] The Muslims who returned to Makkah were of 2 types. [12:23] 1.) Those who remained in Makkah until the migration to Madīnah. [12:27] 2.) Those who went back to Abyssinia. Mujādalāt – Argumentation to disprove the prophet ﷺ [14:47] Quraysh asked Muḥammad ﷺ what was the food that Yaʿqūb made ḥarām upon himself. [17:14] They asked Muḥammad ﷺ how does the child resemble the mother or the father. [18:23] 2.) Quraysh approached Abū Ṭālib who was protecting the prophet ﷺ to ask him to stop the daʿwah. [19:20] 3.) Ṭalab Al-Muʿjizāt wa Al-Khawāriq – Seeking miracles and unnatural occurrences to take place. [21:12] The fifth year of Prophethood: The Splitting of the moon. [21:14] Quraysh asked for a clear cut sign. [21:35] The prophet ﷺ pointed towards the moon. [21:44] The moon split into 2. [23:25] The sixth year after Prophethood. ʿUmār Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb and Hamzah Ibn ʿAbdul Muṭṭalib embraced Islām. [24:05] The Islām of ʿUmār Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb [26:00] ʿUmār Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb heard Muḥammad ﷺ reciting Qur’ān in front of the Kaʿbah and said ‘he must be a poet...[27:31] this narration is not authentic [30:09] ʿUmār Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb came to Dārul Arqam where the ṣaḥābah used to meet for daʿwah [31:04] ʿUmār Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb took shahādah. [33:43] ʿUmār Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb was the first to make his Islām manifest [33:47] And the first to gather the companions in front of the Kaʿbah with Muḥammad ﷺ for the ṣalāh. [33:56] The Islām of Hamzah Ibn ʿAbdul Muṭṭalib [34:43] Hamzah Ibn ʿAbdul Muṭṭalib struck Abū Jahl in the head with his bow for speaking badly about Muḥammad ﷺ [36:40] Quraysh felt threatened by the Muslims strengthening in Abyssinia and the strength that ʿUmār Ibn Al-Khaṭṭāb and Hamzah Ibn ʿAbdul Muṭṭalib added to the Muslims in Makkah. [38:42] The Boycott of Banu Hāshim and Banu Muṭṭalib [38:42] During the seventh year after Prophethood, Quraysh came together to conspire a plot to boycott Banu Hāshim and Banu Muṭṭalib, the 2 subsections that Muḥammad and his uncles were connected to from Quraysh. [42:14] The boycott stated there would be no buying, selling, trade, marriage and socializing. [42:43] Banī Hāshim secluded themselves in a mountain gorge. [42:43] When Banī Hāshim heard of this boycott, they decided they would seclude themselves away from Quraysh. [42:55] They secluded themselves in a mountain gorge that was from the mountain gorges of Abū Ṭālib. [43:18] Quraysh cut off Banu Hāshim and Banu Muṭṭalib until they would surrender Muḥammad ﷺ to them. [43:43] Banu Hāshim and Banu Muṭṭalib (the Muslims and kuffār among them) refused to surrender Muḥammad ﷺ to Quraysh. [43:50] Banī Hāshim and Banī Muṭṭalib were boycotted for 3 long years. [43:56] They suffered hunger and hardship for 3 years because they refused to give up one of their tribesmen. [44:19] Abū Ṭālib continued to protect Muḥammad ﷺ during this boycott even though he was harmed. [44:24] Only Abu Jahl refused to seclude himself with Banū Hāshim and Banī Muṭṭalib in the mountain gorge. [47:15] Muḥammad ﷺ supplicated against the man that made and wrote the pact (of the boycott) and he became paralyzed in the side that he used to write. [47:31] The ninth year after Prophethood. Termites ate the entire scroll that the pact was written upon except the place that had the Name of Allāh [49:26] During the 10th year after Prophethood: the death of Abū Ṭālib. [54:03] Abū Ṭālib agreed Islām was the truth but never became Muslim. [55:02] The 10th year after Prophethood 3 days after the death of Abū Ṭālib, Khadījah, the prophet’s ﷺ wife died [55:34] The 10th year after Prophethood. The Prophet ﷺ remarries. [55:36] The marriage contract between ʿĀ’ishah and Muḥammad ﷺ was established in the month of Shawwāl. [56:39] The prophet ﷺ married his wife Sawdah in Shawwāl [57:00] Muḥammad ﷺ went To Call The People of Ṭā’if. [57:13] Muḥammad ﷺ went to Ṭā’if and had the most difficult bout of daʿwah thus far. [58:04] The people of Ṭā’if sent their women and children to stone the prophet ﷺ [58:21] They stoned him ﷺ until blood ran from his head and covered his sandles. [09:00] ʿAbdullāh Ibn Salām said, ‘when I saw the face of the Prophet ﷺ (for the first time), I knew this was not the face of a liar.' [15:31] The Prophet ﷺ was sent during a time of the most severe jāhiliyyah – pre-Islāmic ignorance. [19:21] The First Migration to Abyssinia. [19:21] The fifth year of Prophethood. The Prophet ﷺ was given permission (from Allāh to migrate from Makkah to Abyssinia. [24:17] King Negus (An-Najāshī) said, the difference between us (Christians) and you (Muslims) is like the thickness of this stick. [24:44] King Negus (رضى الله عنه) later accepted Islām, and the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) performed the janāzah ṣalāh (al-ghā’ib - for the one whose body is absent) for King Negus. [25:09] During the fifth year of Prophethood, the Muslims were given permission (from An-Najāshī) to remain in Abyssinia. [25:50] 6 months after the migration to Abyssinia an incident occurred that caused all of the Muslims in Abyssinia to return to Makkah. [26:00] A rumor was being spread that all the kuffār of Quraysh had become Muslim. [26:34] After 6 months of the Muslims being in Abyssinia, Quraysh sent ʿUtbah ibn Rabīʿah to debate with Muḥammad ﷺ [29:10] ʿUtbah ibn Rabīʿah offered Muḥammad ﷺ leadership, [29:19] He ﷺ was offered wealth enough to make him the richest man of Quraysh [29:43] He ﷺ was offered the 10 most beautiful women of Quraysh in marriage, (in order to stop his Daʿwah). [30:48] Allāh revealed to Muḥammad ﷺ the first āyāt of Sūrah Fuṣṣilat during the debate with ʿUtbah ibn Rabīʿah. [39:20] Quraysh offered Muḥammad ﷺ a deal, that this year everyone unites upon worshipping al-Lāt and al-ʿUzzah (2 idols), and next year they worship Allāh alone. [40:11] In response to the deal that Quraysh offered, Allāh (سبحانه و تعالى) revealed Sūrah Al-Kāfirūn [44:15] Muḥammad ﷺ was accused of reciting magic [44:40] Muḥammad ﷺ prayed in front of the Kaʿbah and recited Sūrah An-Najm [46:56] Muslims and kuffār fell into prostration when The Prophet recited ﷺ except Abū Lahab! [47:38] Rumors spread from this incident that all of Quraysh had become Muslim. [47:56] These rumors reached the Muslims who had migrated to Abyssinia and they decided to return to Makkah. [48:20] Unfortunately they found the kuffār were still kuffār. [49:24] The Second Migration to Abyssinia. [49:30] Over 80 of the companions returned to Abyssinia the second time led by Jaʿfar ibn Abī Ṭālib [49:55] Some of the ṣaḥābah remained in Abyssinia for 10 years. [50:07] Some of the ṣaḥābah stayed in Abyssinia even after the hijra to Madīnah. [50:16] Some ṣaḥābah did not migrate to Madīnah until the battle of khaybar.
